Deposits
To reserve a cabin a deposit of $400 must accompany the reservation. Balance is due 7 days prior to stay. All payments MUST be done through the website - we will not accept any CASH OR CHECK at the resort.
Cancellations
Deposit can be refunded for 85% of deposit when done 30 days or more before rental date. Cancellations after that are subject to the ability to re-rent the cabin for the same dates of your cancelled reservation, less a $25 administrative fee. Deposits can also be forwarded to a future booking, less the $25 administrative fee. Any cancellation done within 7 days of reservation is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Damage and Incidentals
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay. You will also be responsible for any missing items from the cabin. All of the cabins are privately owned and the owners appreciate renters being respectful of the cabin and the belongings in the cabins.
*Government-issued photo identification may be asked for at check-in.
*Special requests are subject to availability and may occur additional charges, special requests cannot be guaranteed.
*Onsite parties and group events are strictly prohibited.
*A $25 administrative fee is added for any date or cabin changes to your reservation.
*No refunds or price adjustments for early departure.
*Rates are subject to change without notice.
*NO SMOKING allowed in any of the cabins. There is butt disposal bins outside of each cabin.
*NO PETS ALLOWED in any of the cabins.
*NO JetSkis or Waverunners allowed. No waterskiing in the bay of the resort.
*Minimum age to rent is 25 years of age.
Bed Linens are provided. You are responsible for bringing your own towels/hand towels/paper products, toiletries.
Please be respectful of check-in and check-out times - we need time to clean/prepare the cabins for the next arriving guests. No excecptions will be made.
Check-in time: 3:00pm
Check-out time: 9:00 am
SMOKE FREE: All cabins are smoke free. If you smoke outside, please place butts in the cans provided at each door, not on the ground or in the lake.
GARBAGE: There is a dumpster and a recycle bin located down the driveway. When you leave please dispose of your garbage and recyclables in the appropriate bins. Recycle items include: glass, tin, plastic bottles, aluminum, paper, and cardboard.
FISH HOUSE: All fish must be cleaned in the Fish House - no cleaning fish in cabins. Please wrap scraps in newspaper, place in a plastic bag, tie bag shut and place in the freezer located in the fish house. Please clean fish house for the next user.
WIFI: Each cabin has its own password for high-speed WIFI posted in the cabin.
HOUSEKEEPING: Please leave the cabin in the same condition as when you arrived. Wash, dry and put away all dishes. There are cleaning supplies provided in each cabin. If you have moved furniture return to its original position. An extra fee will be charged if the cabin is left unacceptable, missing or broken items. If you have any questions regarding this reach out to the condo managers.
DOCKS: Each cabin has its own dock, be respectful of other guests’ privacy and use your dock only.
BOAT CHARGING: There are outlets available on the beach and in front of each cabin to charge your boat, DO NOT charge your boat from inside the cabin.
CHILDREN: An adult needs to be present when children are on the beach, near the water, on the pier or swimming. Please remind children to be respectful other guests and their piers. Any toys and trash left on the beach needs to be cleaned up. Swimming is at your own. No life guards are provided.
CABIN RULES: No lit candles in cabins. If running heat or air conditioner all windows should be closed. DO NOT remove batteries from smoke detectors. Please do not cook high odor foods such as fish in the cabins. Turn off all lights/air conditioning upon departure.
SEPTIC SYSTEM: All cabins are served by a septic system which operates differently from municipal sewage systems. Please do NOT dispose of grease, feminine products, wipes, bleach or other harsh chemicals down drains or toilets as they can clog and harm the functioning of the system.
RESORT SUPPLIES: Each cabin has an outdoor patio set available. Beach front tables and chairs are available for everyone’s use. Please return chairs to the firepit area at the end of use.
FIRE PIT: The fire pit is open for all guests to enjoy. There is plenty of wood available near the pit. Please use the fire pit responsibility, no excessive use of accelerants or toxic burning items placed in the pit. NO BURNING OF GARBAGE SUCH AS ALUMINUM CANS IN THE PIT. Hours of use are from 4 PM to 10 PM. Since we are in the middle of a forest, fires must be actively watched by a responsible person. Avoid using the fire pit during windy conditions and extinguish the fire with water at the end of use. A water-filled pail is available next to the fire pit.
INDIVIDUAL/SOLO FIRE PITS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT CABINS - THE COMMUNAL FIREPIT IS THE ONLY PLACE FIRES ARE ALLOWED.
BOAT RENTAL: The resort no longer offers boat/motor rental.
CANOE: There is a canoe available for use at the resort. Its use is at your own risk. Canoes are not toys. A Coast Guard approved personal floatation device is required for all users. It is highly recommended to be worn at all times. A responsible adult should be with any children while on the water. Beginners or inexperienced canoeists should seek out information on canoeing.
LIFE VESTS: These are available in the gray plastic storage shed in front of Cabin 3. Young children MUST wear life vests when playing near the water or on the docks. An adult MUST be present if children are playing in or near the water or dock There is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. Children and adults swim at your risk.
WATERSKIING/JET SKIS: Not allowed on the resort or in the bay of the resort. Fishtrap Lake does allow water skiing and jet skis from 9:00am-7:00pm. Must stay 100 ft from other watercrafts, wear a Coast Guard approved life vest and all watercraft have the right-of-way.
PETS: No pets are allowed on the resort by renters. You may see pets on the resort; however, these are animals from the condo owners. If there are any issues with the pets on the premises, please report them to the Condo Managers.
WILDLIFE: The resort is blessed with an abundance of whitetail and albino deer that routinely wander through the grounds. Please do not feed them.
DUCKS: Many ducks swim in the bay and walk on the shore. Please do not feed them as it can leave the grounds, piers and swimming area quite messy!
LOONS: When out on the lakes, be watchful for the beautiful loons that swim and dive. In most seasons, there may be one or two nesting pairs of loons on Fishtrap Lake. They carry their young babies on their backs. Loons are a joy to watch and listen to, but KEEP YOUR DISTANCE so future generations will be able to enjoy them also.
QUIET TIME: Quiet time is from 10:00pm – 8:00am, please be respectful of other guests and limit outdoor noise in the evening.
WISCONSIN DNR BOATING AND FISHING REGULATIONS: Please obey all boating and fishing regulations during your stay. Information is available on the DNR website, dnr.wisconsin.gov.
SPECIAL FISHING REGULATIONS: High, Rush, Fishtrap Chain of Lakes are Ceded Territory lakes and have a special daily bag limit of 15 panfish, (blue gill, pumpkinseed, yellow perch, crappie) that may be kept, but only five of any one species.
